It can be used as sponge egg cake mold and it is well known as kuih
bahulu
back in Malaysia . It is a  traditional Malay kueh and typically served during tea time.
The same mold can be use for Kue Cubit ( Indonesia) / Banh Bong Lan ( Vietnam ) / Khanom Khai ( Thailand )
Tips: Before starts using the mold, pour cooking oil into the cavity, preheat in an oven 70-80 degree celcius for 10 minutes. This is done to avoid the batter stick to the mold after it is cooked.
Remove the preheated mould out from the oven. Fill the mould with the batter until 3/4 full.
