    1820s-1840s New York Excelsior Infantry Button Non Dug Mexican War Era Button. Very desirable early button. This button is non dug and in stunning condition for being almost 200 years old. Some of them are silver plated but this one never was. Possibly officer grade. This example is bascially perfect shape.  It is made by Imperial Standard and has a Eagle on a shield as all of these buttons usually do. Generally speaking the makers mark dates this button most likely to the 1830s. The imperial standard mark means it was produced in england. It is a one piece flat button that is 190 years old. This piece is also told quality w all the gilt remaining a very rare and desirable button! Fair offers considered as always!
