    Vehicle Details
Hi Im interested in selling my 1998 Subaru Forester L in forest green. Ive had it for the last 3 years and have deeply cherished this car. It was taken from southern California so its a rust free car that I've kept in very good working order since i've owned it. Car has added "Outdoor Package II" from the dealer which includes a front bumper guard, differential cover, and gauge pack inside. It Also has cruise control, rear cargo shade, factory all weather floor mats-which are rare- and a genuine Subaru roof cargo pod. Prior to my ownership it received a full major service at 90K miles including the timing belt, water pump and all serpentine belts as well as all new fluids throughout. Since then I've worked on it myself to maintain it and have either replaced worn parts with factory Subaru parts or upgraded with high quality aftermarket parts. Repairs since ownership- Replaced radiator-New KoyoRad (very good/better than OEM), New coolant hoses, inner and outer tie rod ends-OEM, new ball joints and wheel bearings-front and rear, replaced leaking axle seals in transmission and flushed front differential fluid. New Apexi Power filter-air filter, only ever used Valvoline Synthetic Fluids, oil changed every 3k, and genuine Subaru filters. New Raxles front axles- 0 each- These are the best axles you can get for a Subaru. Upgrades include; '06/07 WRX 4 pot front, 2 pot rear fixed caliper conversion with Stoptech/EBC slotted rotors and pads. Stainless brake lines and Stoptech racing Dot 4 fluid and a Grimmspeed brake master brace for better brake feel-Subarus of this generation have notoriously bad brake feel. Every Suspension bushing was upgraded to Whiteline Poly bushings including the front and rear sway bars, steering rack, front lower arm bushings, rear lateral links and rear trailing arms. Along with bushings I upgraded to Whiteline front 19mm and rear 22mm sway bars and poly end links. Whiteline rear adjustable lateral links, Whiteline front strut tower brace and added larger camber bolts both front and rear to give perfect alignment. Additionally I put a 2" lift using Rallitek 1.5" lift springs and .5" strut top spacers along with new '08 Forester struts and strut tops from KYB- they have more travel and a larger diameter center shaft for durability. I've also added the Rallitek rear trailing arm correcting brackets to get the rear wheels centered in the wheel wells as well as a Rallitek front aluminum skid plate. I'm also including some spare parts that I didn't install due to time and space constraints, worth 0. I've got the factory radio as well, as i've installed a bluetooth unit with phone connectivity. Car runs so well, A/C blows cold, no oil leaks, gets around 25mpg on the highway even with the larger BFG All Terrain K02's that are almost brand new. Sparco 16" Terra wheels in Rally Bronze are the rollers and they look great on this car along with black Rally Armor mud flaps. I've also upgraded the motor mounts to STI Group N as well as the pitch mount. Paint is in good shape but not perfect, sadly the streets of NYC have not been kind, and the car has been swiped when parked a few times so theres some scuffs and small dents throughout. For a car this age though its in quite good shape and considering the mileage its a real gem. I want to get a Sprinter or Transit van so I need to let this one go. This is a great daily and camping car and would be a perfect candidate for a turbo swap. Interior is in really good shape with very minimal wear and tear and i've been pretty meticulous in keeping it clean.
