    Description

    These lovely sky blue paste earrings are set in finely-detailed sterling silver. While thought to be aquamarines, the stones have tested as paste. Paste is a heavy glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion (separation of white light into its component colors).

    Provenance: These belonged to my grandmother when she was young. She never had pierced ears!
    I have switched out the original screw backs for new, nickel-free modern hooks for your convenience. The original screw backs, which are marked "Sterling" will be included in your purchase. They are easy to switch out should you so desire.
