Description

Up for auction is a Belleek Music Box styled from The Pottery's shamrock honey pot, #0044.  This beautiful music box has a background of braided strands in raised relief with charming hand-painted honey bees and clusters of the beloved Irish shamrocks.  The little handle on the lid is styled in the Belleek Shamrock Teacup pattern.
This music box has Reuge Swiss musical movement and plays "Irish Lullaby", also known as

.  It measures 4" in diameter and stands 4 3/4" to tip of lid handle.  On the bottom is a label from Reuge and the 7th Belleek gold mark, dating this piece 1980-1989.
Condition:  I have examined the music box carefully and can see no damage.  There are no chips, cracks or flaws.  The colors are vibrant and unfaded.  The musical movement works fine and is lovely to hear the tune.  Based in Sainte-Croix with more than 155 years of expertise, Reuge is the world leading producer of music automaton.
