First green mark 1946-1955
Belleek resumed full production following World War II,
and decided to change its trademark color from black to green.
The Fourth Mark was identical to its predecessor in every way but color.
Patriotic collectors like to believe that green was chosen
because of its identification with Ireland.
But the pottery's decision to change,
was based on a more practical motive,
tests had proven that green was less likely
to show through the translucent Parian china.
Displayed only, never used
Excellent condition.
No chips, cracks or restorations.
