Free Form Amino Acid is the active compound in the solution which translates to exactly 40mg after being processed unlike the weaker HCl salt which amounts to less than 33mg after being processed.
Difference between FAA and HCl:
Free Form Amino Acid (short: FAA) is a fine white powder that fully converts into Noopept HCl when it comes in contact with acid either synthetic or natural acid.
Hydrochloric salt (short: HCl) Is the crystaline form of Noopept which starts of as FAA but has been introduced to an acid in solution which creates the HCl salt.
Difference:
The HCl salt is slightly less potent 10/20% +- as it is less pure than the Free Form Amino Acid due to hydrochloric acid molecule which is connected to the HCl salt.
Other differences:
The HCl salt is acidic and can be damaging to metals when left exposed.
The Free Form Amino acid is PH neutral and very gentle.
