Offered here is a 20mm Union Army eagle coat button recovered at the Cold Harbor, Virginia Battlefield.The button
has taken on a soft dark brown patina
. As excavated, t
he face has kept excellent detail. The back is has an early Scovill Mfg Co / Waterbury rmdc back mark.
Tice classifies this button as GEN215A30 and Albert GI 94A.
The shank is firmly attached and straight.
