    A fine example of a 2 piece United States Diplomatic Corps or Government Official's button of the Civil War or post Civil War period.   Albert# OD-UNL.    This example has a backmark that reads   "  MEINVIELLE - SCHNEIDER  * PARIS *  ".    Button measures 28.51mm.    A stunning eagle with 17 stars in an arc above.    Button retains all of its original gilded finish.
