The 2½ Box Form “ENSIGN” CameraManufacturer: Houghtons Ltd., London, England, ~1912-1926
Introduced in 1902, in the United Kingdom, the “Ensign,” is designed for 2½” roll film and is very similar to Kodak and other “Box” cameras of the early 20th century.
The camera is overall in very good condition inside & out. There are some visible age-shrink cracks in the wood. The shutter & f stops are fully functional. The taking lens is clear, scratch and fungus free. The finder lenses and glass are clear with some partial losses of the silvering on the reflector mirrors. Exterior scratches and blemishes are visible in the images. Torn leather strap.
