    Description

    This is a non excavated two piece coat size flower buttons from the 1835 - 1840 period. The button is back marked R&W ROBINSON/EXTRA RICH. The button is in very good condition. It has a leaf design with a stippled background on the face. The button measures 21.5 mm and retains over 90% of the gilt. The shank is present and standing tall. The Robinson button companies can be traced back to 1812 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, when Colonel Obed Robinson, Otis Robinson and Edward Price started manufacturing metal buttons. This button will make a great start for any collection.
