    A fine and rare example of a 1 piece United States Engineer Officer's button of the War of 1812 period to about 1820.  Albert# EG-2-TY.  This example has a backmark that reads  " T. POTTS  . BIRMINGHAM .  ".  Button measures 24.18mm.    All of the original
    gilded
    finish remains.
