Description

Tetra-n-butylammonium Bromide is one of the most
commonly
used phase transfer catalysts. It is often used in phase transfer
alkylation's of Nitrogen, Oxygen or Sulfur containing functional groups. It has also been employed as a catalyst for oxidations, and as a source of nucleophilic Bromide ion. The compound is hydroscopic and should be stored in anhydrous conditions. The bottle is moisture proof. The f217 cap has a foam that creates a tight seal when Screwed on. Also, the opening is taped with parafilm which prevents moisture from entering.
