Up for auction is the classic US Infantryman's Breast Plate with Federal Eagle holding the symbolic arrows and olive branch. This insignia adorned the shoulder sling that suspended the US Infantryman's cartridge box. Condition is very good for excavated with sharp details and a beautiful patina on the face
. Attachement loops missing on the reverse. Made of lead filled stamped brass. Clearly maker marked on the reverse "BOYD & SONS / BOSTON". Ex. Ron Wolford collection. Authenticity guaranteed! No reserve!
