Description
Positive Eprom Programmer - Made in 1981From 64000 Logic Development System
HP Hewlett Packard 64500S Positive Prom Programmer - Part Number 64300
This board controlled the HP Logic Development System to program, load, unload and burn programs to Eproms. Interesting feature about this board is it was designed with right angle (90 degree) etches later found in the industry that it caused isolations and noise and were later designed to 45 degree to better increase operation. Also, back in the early 80's they put much more gold in building these boards for better connectivity but it was later proved that they really didn't need that much at all. Boards built in this era have much more gold than in the later 1980's.
There are not many of these left because most prom programmers were replaced with faster and more efficient units connected to PC's with more convient input & output storage.
