Vintage Irish Belleek Pottery Nautilus Conch Shell Spoon Warmer or Vase Centerpiece, Green Mark Made in Ireland.
A RARE and gorgeous example of an Irish Belleek porcelain spoon warmer or table centerpiece of outstanding quality. The spoon warmer or vase takes the form of a Nautilus Conch Shell with scrolling leaves, raised on its original attached scrolling base. The stunning piece is ivory in color, but the interior has a yellow luster, as do the leaves that support the base.
The Nautilus Conch Shell shaped flower holder is in excellent condition: no restoration, not chips, cracks or breaks. It measures 9” high,9” wide with a depth of 4.75".
Belleek's products are marked with symbols that are unmistakably Irish: The Irish Wolfhound with head turned to face the Round Tower believed to be modeled on Fermanagh's own Devenish Round Tower, the Irish Harp and sprigs of shamrock that border the ends of the banner at the base of each design, and carries the single word ‘Belleek’.
