Description
Wonderful Italian Doll dressed in her First Holy Communion costume, complete with veil.  Gorgeous soft vinyl head, with sleep eyes having dark shadow,  open/closed mouth with molded tongue, rosy cheeks, and soft, curly rooted hair in original set.    Fully jointed hard vinyl body.  Standing 23" tall.  Also sits nicely for display.
The doll wears a custom costume, consisting of intricate hand crochet dress with high waist, full skirt, and scallop hem overcast in silk crochet.  The dress front is adorned with abundant cloth flowers.  She has a fine stiff net petticoat, white shoes and socks, and a veil trimmed in lace (headband holding veil is broken in one place, likely from age breakdown).  The doll comes in her original box, where she has been stored for 60 years.  Never played with, always cherished.  Box shows wear from storage.
A one of a kind doll for any special little girl on her momentous day.  A unique addition to the more modern doll collection.  A quality doll, from a time gone by.
